Thursday, August 18, 2005 Back to School I am back to school !!! After landing here on Sunday, I have been working on the Orientation for FY's(first years). Our classes(orientation and ILE) start next week. Till then it is a lot of parties, settling down, answering tons of questions for first years and catching up on lost sleep. To update you on my summer, the last few weeks were really busy. Thats when I got fully integrated with the team, and got involved in day-to-day stuff. The final review went well, and I am waiting with crossed fingers for that offer in September. My summer, made me realize keeping in touch with real world work, while studying would be valuable to my learning. Since last few months, I have been interested in PE/VC space and I recently landed a "Mentored Study Internship" at a VC firm. Mentored study is a unique course, where you work at a firm, for around 8-10 hours a week and recieve course credit. This is very useful for people trying to get into PE/VC space.
